Spud, Meet Rub.

Spud Rub is like a spa treatment, but for potatoes. A hearty blend of vegetable shortening and spices for a crispy and tasty skin.

Super Spud Scrubdown

Rub-a-dub-dub, clean up that spud in some fresh cold water, but leave the skin on! Then set aside to dry.

Deep Spice Massage

Use a spoon to scoop out a heaping tablespoon of Spud Rub, and using your hands, give that tater a rubdown.Get in all those nooks and crannies!

Holy Hell Heat Treatment

Your spud should be pretty relaxed by now, so gently place it uncovered on a pan into an oven preheated to 425º. Wow, that’s hot! Check that chubby tater for tenderness after about an hour.

Butter Bath and Accoutrements

You know what to do, right? Stuff that tasty tuber with your choice of treatments and dig in!

This versatile rub can be used on poultry and other tubers!

We don’t recommend using it as a facial moisturizer or foot tenderizer though. YMMV

Timothy took tender taters, tastefully tossing in a tantalizing tapestry of spices, and triumphantly toasted them, turning the table with a taste of terrifically seasoned tubers.
